To ensure that the club remains solvent going forward and given the increase in costs incurred eg leases, maintenance, materials, fuel, etc. the membership voted to approve the following:
- A £5 increase on all memberships fees plus night permits to be increased to £30.
- New members will be charged a one off £30 joining fee.

A caveat has been introduced; Any member who allows their membership to expire for more than 2 weeks will have to ‘re-join’ and pay the new member joining fee. These changes will take place as soon as the website is updated.

In addition, the number of night permits is to be capped at 400. This number to be reviewed in 12 months’ time. If a member allows their night permit to expire by more than 2 weeks, they risk having to go on a waiting list, should the 400 limit be exceeded. There are currently 315 night permits.

Monthly meetings – next meeting Tue 7th May
A reminder to all members that the club holds monthly meetings at the ROAB club, Bottesford Road, Scunthorpe, DN16 3HF, on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30 pm. All members are welcome.

Close season – No fishing
That’s it folks, until June 16th, there is no fishing allowed on any of our river venues PLUS the Louth Canal, the Warping Drain and the Chesterfield Canal from Gringley Road to the end of our stretch just before the Drakehole Tunnel.
