Trent venues – locked gates update

Besthorpe – The first gate (chain) has been removed until an agreement can be reached with the nature reserve. The second gate remains locked on the bailiff code.

Girton – The river is falling and most pegs are now fishable.

South Clifton – The Trent Lane gate remains on the bailiff code. Entry on foot only via the hand gate. Whilst the fishery is open, there are not many pegs that are fishable. Members parking at the power station end must NOT drive along the floodbank until further notice.

Ladypitt – The meadow gate remains on the bailiff code.

Bonnyhale – The gate at Bonnyhale has also been locked as the ground is being cut up by vehicles driving on it.

All of the banks are covered in mud and very slippery. Please take extra care if you do go fishing.
