Rules

General Fishing Rules

  • All anglers 16+ years must be in possession of a current national rod licence. Juniors 13 to 16 years require a rod licence but are free.
  • Members shall produce their membership verification and rod licence to any club bailiff, environment agency officer, police officer or any of the fishery owners or their agents on demand.
  • Members may be accompanied at any club fishery by any guest named on their club permit.
  • Guests of members must be either their partner/spouse or a child/young person under the age of 18 whom the member has a degree of parental responsibility.
  • All guests must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult member who is responsible for their care, behaviour and wellbeing.

Equipment

  • Anglers must be in possession of the appropriate equipment at all times, a landing net for example.
  • Everyone should be in possession of an unhooking mat to avoid any fish from touching the ground. Unhooking can take place in the hand or landing net.
  • No keepnets on any still water, (or below the weir at Ladypitt).
  • Barbless hooks must be used at all still-waters, micro barbed hooks are permitted on running waters.
  • No cat or dog meat or any type of nut bait is to be used.
  • All fish caught must be returned safely and unharmed.
  • No fish are to be killed, removed or transferred between ponds.

Fisheries

  • Night fishing is only allowed at permitted club fisheries with the additional night permit.
  • No overnight camping is allowed.
  • No fires are to be lit on the banks, no firearms, unless authorized by the committee.
  • Dogs are not allowed at any of the fisheries controlled by the club except for waters open to the general public, ie; river and canal banks.
  • Vehicles are to be parked with due regard for access by others.
  • The club accepts no responsibility for any damage to, or theft from any vehicle parked at the fisheries. Any vehicle parked at the venues is entirely at the owners risk.
  • All gates must be kept locked and the combination number scrambled after entering or leaving a fishery.
  • Gate combination numbers are not to be given out to non-members.
  • Anglers are only allowed to fish from 1 designated peg/platform.
  • A maximum of 2 rods is allowed per adult member and 1 rod per child under the age of 12.  Rod butts must be no more than 3 metres apart.
  • All of our fisheries unless named as able to night fish with the relevant and up to date night fish permit are Dawn to Dusk only.
  • NO Drugs or Alcohol to be used or consumed on any of our fisheries.
  • Please take ALL litter home. The club have zero tolerance policy on this issue.
  • No parking on Kingfisher Close, Brigg close to the River Ancholme. This will be relayed to the match Secretary and match organisers.
  •  Under no circumstances are anglers allowed to fish from any point on the railings on the River Ancholme.

ZASADY CZLONKOSTWA

  • Wszyscy Wędkarze musza posiadać aktualna krajowa licencje wędkarska.
  • Wszyscy członkowie powinni na żądanie okazać dowód członkostwa i licencję na wędkę każdemu komornikowi klubu, członkowi, funkcjonariuszowi agencji ochrony środowiska, funkcjonariuszowi policji lub dowolnemu właścicielowi łowiska lub jego agentowi.
  • Członkom może towarzyszyć na każdym łowisku klubowym każdy gość wpisany w książeczkę klubu.
  • Goście członków musza być albo ich partnerami/małżonkiem albo dzieckiem; młodą osoba w wieku poniżej 18 roku życia członek ma pewien stopień odpowiedzialności rodzicielskiej.
  • Wszyscy goście musza zawsze być pod opieka i nadzorem dorosłego członka klubu, który ponosi odpowiedzialność za ich opiekę, zachowanie i dobre samopoczucie.
  • Nocne wędkowania dozwolone są wyłącznie na dozwolonych łowiskach klubowych z dodatkowym zezwoleniem na nocleg.
  • Nie zezwala się na nocleg kempingowy.
  • Żadnych ognisk; broni palnej; wiatrówki bez zgody Zarządu.
  • Na stawach, jeziorach obowiązuje zakaz używania haczyków z ząbkami, powyższe haczyki dozwolone są na rzekach na martwą przynętę.
  • Zabrania się stosowania jako zanęty, przynęty kociego lub psiego jedzenia oraz orzechów.
  • Nie używać żywej przynęty.
  • Psy nie mogą przebywać na żadnych z łowisk klubowych z wyjątkiem wód otwartych dla ogółu społeczeństwa tj: rzeki, kanały…
  • Zakaz używania siatek i sieci na łowiskach.
  • Wszystkie złowione ryby musza być zwrócone bezpiecznie i nieuszkodzone do wody.
  • Żadne ryby nie mogą być zabijane, usuwane lub przenoszone między stawami.
  • Należy użyć maty odhaczającej. Żadna ryba nie powinna być umieszczana bezpośrednio na ziemi.
  • Wędkarze musza zawsze posiadać odpowiedni sprzęt, np. podbierak…
  • Pojazdy należy parkować z należytym uwzględnieniem dostępu dla innych osób.
  • Klub nie ponosi żadnej odpowiedzialności za jakiekolwiek uszkodzenia lub kradzież z jakiegokolwiek pojazdu zaparkowanego na łowisku, każdy pojazd zaparkowany na miejscu jest całkowicie na ryzyko właściciela.
  • Wszystkie bramy musza być zamknięte kombinacja numerów po wejściu lub opuszczenia łowiska musi być pomieszana.
  • Numery kombinacji bramek nie mogą być podawane osobom niebędącymi członkami klubu.
  • Wędkarze mogą łowić tylko z jednego wyznaczonego stanowiska/platformy.
  • Dla dorosłego członka maksymalnie dozwolone są 2 wędki, na dziecko poniżej 12 roku życia 1 wędka. Podpórki do wędek i wędki nie mogą być oddalone od siebie nie dalej niż 3 metry.

Predator fishing rules for all SAA river & canal venues                Rules for SAA still waters

Pike & zander may only be deliberately targetted from 1st October through to 14th March (31st March on canal venues where no close season applies). Perch may be targeted all year round. In accordance with standard club rules, a maximum of 2 rods may be used when predator fishing with dead baits.

Dead bait fishing

  1. You may fish for predators with dead baits, but live baits are NOT allowed.
  2. When targeting pike and/or zander using dead baits, you must use a wire trace of a minimum breaking strain of 20lb and at least 18” long. If using any form of paternoster rig, you must use a wire uptrace which is long than the hook trace.
  3. When static dead baiting, some form of audible & visual bite indication MUST be used.
  4. When baits are in the water, you must be no more than 5 metres away from your rods. If you need to leave your swim, you must wind in your baits.
  5. You must always carry wire cutters and suitable long forceps or, preferably, long nosed pliers. If targeting pike both of these should be approx. 12” long.
  6. You must have a landing net with at least 36” inch arms or a round net of equivalent size. The net MUST always be assembled whilst fishing.
  7. You must have an unhooking mat, appropriate to the species in the water you are fishing.
  8. When targeting pike and/or zander, you must use a minimum line breaking strain of either 15lb mono or 45lb braid.
  9. Fully barbed trebles are NOT allowed at any time. Semi-barbed trebles may be used for dead baiting. Single hooks and lures MUST be barbless (crushed barbs must pass the woolly jumper test, ie they must pull free of a woollen or towelling garment without pulling threads)
  10. All fish must be returned alive to the water they were caught from.

Lure fishing

  1. Rules 5 to 10 above also apply to lure anglers when targeting pike and zander.
  2. All hooks must be barbless (crushed barbs must pass the woolly jumper test, ie they must pull free of a woollen or towelling garment without pulling threads)
  3. When targeting pike and/or zander using lures, you must use a wire trace of a minimum breaking strain of 20lb and at least 12” long.
  4. Lure anglers must take care at all times not to cast across water that is being fished by bait anglers.

Rules for SAA still waters

Still waters containing pike are – Yaddlethorpe Match & North lakes and Clive’s Cutt (special access rules apply to CC).

Pike may only be deliberately targeted from 1st October through to 31st March.

Lure fishing between March 31st and September 30th inclusive in still waters containing pike:

  1. Rules 5 to 10 above also apply to lure anglers when targeting pike
  2. Strictly NO treble hooks.
  3. All hooks must be barbless (crushed barbs must pass the woolly jumper test, ie they must pull free of a woollen or towelling garment without pulling threads)
  4. A wire trace must be used with a minimum breaking strain of 20lbs.
  5. Lure fishing and “drop shot methods” are allowed but the bait must be max 4″ and only have 1 single hook size 2/0 max.
  6. Lure anglers must take care at all times not to cast across water that is being fished by bait anglers.
