Brief description of fishery:
Regrettably, SAA have lost the fishing rights to the section accessed via Coal Yard Lane. Please do not attempt to access this part of the fishery. Negotiations are under way to try to resolve the issue. The northern section of the fishery, accessed via Trent Lane, is still our fishery.
This picturesque stretch of the tidal R Trent is rarely fished. It is fairly isolated which you may consider either an advantage or a disadvantage, depending upon your preferences and expectations.
If surface conditions permit, cars may be driven downstream of Trent Lane and parked on the flood bank. However, they must be parked so as not to obstruct the footpath and to allow other vehicles to drive past. Under no circumstances are vehicles to be driven upstream of the gate.
Night fishing is allowed on this venue
The statutory coarse fish closed season applies to the River Trent (No fishing is allowed between March 15th – June 15th Inclusive)
Dawn to dusk – Fishing times
Night fishing, which in this context means both fishing all night or for just a couple of hours after dark, is allowed on this venue subject to the following:
- You have purchased an SAA night permit (this is currently only available to those who have previously purchased one).
- You have sent a text message to 07943651992 stating your full name, your membership number, the venue and the date that intend to night fish. This is to show that the club is proving to adhere to the conditions of the lease and in addition the Club’s insurance requirements. Your health and safety is our No1 concern.
