SAA membership

Whether joining for the first time or renewing your membership please read the appropriate text thoroughly before continuing.

All queries and problems to do with membership should be sent to scunnyangling@gmail.com

Our waters provide something for everyone with match lakes, family orientated ponds, canals, containing all types of species including carp, crucians, tench, bream, pike, etc. Our stretches of rivers can produce good catches of barbel and are much sort after venues. The River Ancholme and the Stainforth & Keadby canal are popular venues for both pleasure and match anglers.

We are a Not-for-Profit Club with all proceeds going towards maintaining and improving our club facilities.

We offer a number of membership options and your membership starts from the moment that you pay and lasts for 1 year:

  • New members, regardless of membership type, must pay a £30 joining fee.
  • Full membership £60 (aged 18 to 65)
  • Senior membership £50 (aged 66+)
  • Concessions £50 (Blue badge holders and emergency & armed services personnel)
  • Membership is free to disabled veterans.

Evidence is required in all cases. Blue badge holders, emergency and armed services personnel should email scunnyangling@gmail.com with proof and they will then receive instructions and a promo code.

Conditions of membership

By joining Scunthorpe AA you agree to the following terms and conditions:

We now use Clubmate, an online membership system to store our members details and to enable automatic member notifications. We would prefer all renewals and applications from new members to be made via the Clubmate link at the top of this page. However, at the bottom of this page there is a list of tackle shops that will sell you a membership and register you with Clubmate. Please note that we no longer issue hand books, all information out the club and its waters can be found on this website.

Regardless of how you join SAA, a Clubmate profile will be created in your name and this profile must contain the following –

Title (Mr, Mrs, Ms etc) Forename and Surname
Date of Birth
Email address
Full postal address including Postcode
Mobile phone number
Car registration – you may enter more than one vehicle if appropriate. If you’re not a car owner, you must enter No car.
Photograph – your photo MUST be a passport style selfie showing your full face.

Lost membership slips – if you lose your membership slip, there will be a £10 administration fee to replace it. However, if you sign up to Clubmate instead, it will cost you nothing.

Juniors – aged under 18

Regrettably, we are unable to accept anyone under the age of 18 as an independent member. We can only accept under 18s if they are sponsored by an existing adult SAA member, and this must either be a family member or we must have written permission from the parent/guardian for a non-family member. Then the junior may only fish one of our venues when accompanying their sponsor.
