Bonnyhale track repairs

I’m pleased to report that the improvement to the Bonnyhale access has been completed on time and is ready to use. The gated area has been an ongoing problem for some years with prolonged periods of rain usually resulting in vehicle access being suspended for weeks at a time.

The maintenance team has been planning and procuring materials for sometime to install a more permanent fix to the problem. Hopefully, this will last for the forthcoming future. I’d like to thank the team for the methodical approach taken to ensure access wasn’t denied for more than we had planned for. The clement weather was a bonus to us. Two inch thick, hardwearing slabs have been installed over a 6 inch bed of hard core vibrated in to give a solid base. The slabbed area being bordered with 8 inch boards to secure the slabs in position. The surrounding area consolidated with tarmac chippings for completeness.

Please stick to the “tram lines” and do not drive recklessly over them. Apply peer pressure to anyone seen doing so.

Again, thanks to Shaun David Hayward, mark Mark Palmer, Nick Craddock and team leader, Scott Reynolds.

Enjoy your fishing.
